Just bought a mobile home for my elderly MIL to live in few months ago. Wanted to put a better roof over her head and more money in her pocket since my grown SIL’s expenses had drained her account. Now she’s decided since I didn’t give her the money instead she is going to stop paying the lot rent and find another place, once she’s saved enough money. If she stops paying how will the Park owner proceed? She had been renting in the Park before and they sent her the lease agreement for the new space. I will pay the rent to save my investment, but will they try to evict her first, or just come after the legal owner of the home? I’m hoping she comes to her senses first but I can’t afford to finance my SIL under a continuing threat for more money.
