Water Line Bid Question

We just got a bid for a 25 lot park to redo the water lines for $75,500. Is that reasonable?

There is not enough information to answer your question, BUT…

To know if that is a fair price you should get at least two more bids from local contractors to know if that is priced right for your area. Also, don’t just call a plumber, most excavators are licensed to do that type of work and they are generally more reasonably priced than a plumber.

The answer to this question is very market dependent. I’ve spent 40K on new water lines for a 30 pad park, and I’ve also spent much more than that on a smaller park in a larger metro.

I would get a minimum of five bids and get references for a job of this scale.

We’ll get a few more, thanks for the response!

We did a 20 space park 5 years ago with new waterlines and individual city meters and we paid $100,000. We are in Northwest, Missouri . The tenants now get billed from the city for their water. We figured it would take 5 years to break even with what we were paying for water. We did this as soon as we bought the park in lieu of raising the rent. We have since raised the lot rent now. Our lot rent here is $320.00 and probably a bit under market rate.
