Water Filter System For Home, Expert Review

I researched about the best water filter system for home over the past few days because I want cleaner, safer drinking water straight from the tap. I read reviews on The New York Times Wirecutter, Consumer Reports, and Popular Mechanics, and they are marking these two as best:

Waterdrop G3P600 Reverse Osmosis System

SimPure Y7P-BW UV Countertop Reverse Osmosis Water Filter

However, I am having trouble deciding which one would best suit my needs. In my home, we use a lot of water for drinking, cooking, coffee, and washing fruits/veggies. I want something reliable, easy to maintain, and cost-effective over time.

So which one should I buy? Any recommendations or personal experiences would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn’t use either of them.

RO water is bad for you.

You want to drink Spring Water.

If you want filtered water, I suggest:

Whole House: I use this one, but we had to install 2 to keep up with the demand.

Can’t you add a remineralization filter to a RO system to mitigate the effects of removing minerals?

Also, a glass of milk or a handful of spinach would give more calcium and magnesium than several gallons of spring water.

I’m not sure it’s accurate to say “RO water is bad for you”.
