Should you have tenants who have no social security number? What might that fact in itself tell you about the prospective tenant?
They are working without paying into the system, at the least, and quite probably illegal. How stable can their income prospects be? No respectable employer will hire them. I’m just saying.
If someone doesn’t have a social security number we can’ t complete background checks, so we deny them.
We have plenty of other applicants that have social security numbers
Some people might have ITIN numbers but not sure you can run a background on those.
We have had instances where we need to try and get info on someone and stick their name and birthdate into TLOXP to verify their identity. It has linked up various legal violations to them . While not perfect, something to consider depending on the situation .
