I recently replaced all the kitchen cabinets in an old 70’s single wide. I went on Craigslist and used “kitchen remodel” and"kitchen cabinets"
as searchwords. I got entire kitchen’s worth of good quality oak cabinets, a cast iron Kohler sink and a nice dishwasher for $300. I’m not a fan of garage sales but recently there was a 50 family garage sale. I got vinyl tile, ceiling lights, switch plates, new kitchen faucet, tools,etc for 5 to 10 cents on the dollar. ( Got a vinyl window for $3 and it was a size I needed). 90 % of the paint I use is $5 gallon mistint paint. Most of my flooring are remnants. I frequently have to remind myself that I’m not making palaces…just clean, safe affordable housing.
