I have noticed in a MHP here in VT that there is a huge population of stray cats. What makes the problem worse is that certain residents leave cat food and food scraps out for them year round, which not only makes those mobile homes smell horrible (cat urine) and attracts skunks, possums, and raccoons. In fact, these wild animals are so used to people feeding them, they are not scared of humans at all, and will walk right up to people and nibble on their shoes (really scary!). To further complicate the problem, the people who do own cats let them outside all the time, so it’s hard to tell the strays from the normal cats, and I am pretty sure that most of the people do not keep up on their pet’s shots. What would you as a park owner do about this problem?
