My wife and I have our first park under contract and part of the upside we see is being able to submeter the water and sewage. I have a couple questions regarding this:
We were told by the broker of a park that we had considered a while ago that the city would not allow the park to submeter (I don’t remember if it was water, or what it was). Anyways, how can we make sure that this is not the case in the city of the current park? Who would we talk to in the city?
If we are able to submeter the water and sewage, will the manager have to read the meters each month and the we bill the residents, or is there a way to install meters so that the residents are billed directly?
