Sidewalks - Park Responsibility?

ASAP - Please help with whether sidewalks are park responsibility.
It’s a very small park; one lot has sidewalk with the surface eroded, other park lots have sidewalks in fairly good condition, am I liable for walking hazard if tenant falls? Tenant mentioned this in a letter to me.
I know of some parks in another city have no sidewalks at all.
Thank you ahead for your help!

Just my opinion: I would consider that the park’s responsibility unless it was something built by the tenant.

if they are private roads, i would say they are private (your) sidewalks as well.

Since not all lots have sidewalks, does this particular sidewalk go anywhere? My previous home had a sidewalk in front of it, but neither neighbor had one so it was kind of stupid. Does this sidewalk go to her door? Is so, i would fix it.

Our lease says we conduct snow removal on roadways and common areas, but tenants conduct snow removal on their lots.

If the sidewalk is on their space, then I’d say it’s their job to “responsibly maintain” their space. If their sidewalk is a tripping hazard then give them a notice to abate the issue. If they don’t fix it then give them a notice of intent to charge. ie you fix it and charge them. Check your local state laws for the proper notices and legal rights you have to fix and charge.

To me this is the same issue as trimming a tree or yard maintenance.
