We have a camera system with cameras around our office and trash dumpsters. We have a sign posted stating "security cameras in 24 hour use and you are being recorded"We are conisdering getting some additional fake cameras around certain areas of the property.Is there any liability for this ?
I want to preface this by noting I am not a lawyer and this could be totally wrong. That said, I’d assume there is liability in implying a level of security that does not actually exist. IF you are really motivated to get the cameras, I’d be very careful before proceeding and absolutely consult with a lawyer no matter what kind of response you get here.
