Who is responsible for providing electric meter and / or disconnect for a mobile home? I know the tenant renting the lot is responsible for the wire going from the meter to their breaker box but do they have to provide the electric meter too or just the disconnect?
The electric company places the electric meter in the breaker box.
I am needing to know if mobile home park owner or the owner of the mobile home is responsible for the meter base installation and the ground rods and the disconnect below the meter base.
I know that the electric company comes out to install the meter after everything is installed and inspected.
The park owner is responsible for the meter base and installation. In some states a permit is required and must be inspected.
