I agree – I think that is exactly one of the best design features. I am hoping they can put some of those design elements into the $25,000 singlewide. I write articles on that frequently. Instead of trying to look like a stick-built house, they need to take advantage of the “unique” look of the product and make it look different from stick-built. Look at Frank Lloyd Wright’s mobile home design sometime. It was “air-stream deco” in reflective stainless steel, and would have had a huge impact on the industry if they had introduced it decades ago. There are many people who like a “kitsch” look – and it would help the industry hugely if it could become known as being “cool” again, like it was in the l930s - 1950s.
