I wanted to get feedback from any of you who have successfully appealed the property tax assessments on your park. My park is in Indiana, a state which seems to have had a history of problems with their tax assessment process. It seems that they went through a series of ‘blanket’ tax adjustments on commercial properties, using some private firm (Nexus?).
Anyhow, we were a bit shocked by our latest tax bill after talking to the Assessor’s office last week. So I wondered if anyone here has gone through a tax appeals process? Did you use a firm that specialized in this area?
