I want to install aluminum traffic signs throughout a park I own (Attached below) but I realized I don’t know where to efficiently place these signs and how many I would need, especially for speed limit signs. I have an idea on where and how many STOP signs I would need, but I’m getting confused for the rest.
How are you guys placing your traffic signs and what’s the logic or method behind it?
P.S. What’s a good spot to order aluminum traffic signs? I see there’s a million sites to get them from, but I’m sure quality and price varies.
I would talk to your insurance agent to get their input, as they are the ones that cover you in a liability claim because you “didn’t have enough signs or they were in the wrong spot”. Common placement is at the entrance (or, if multiple entrances, at each entrance) and then typically one more on each street.
There are many sites on-line you can order them on, but most larger operators buy them on Purchasing Platform (where they buy almost everything – it’s the Amazon on mobile home park parts).
Looks like you already have the right way to hold them up – white vinyl post with PVC top.
Exactly! Speed bumps work. I replaced my 10 mph signs with 15 mph. Accomplished nothing. The more complaints I get about the speed bumps the more I know they’re working. Junkers dont slow down for either.
