Lagoon System Inspections

Have any of you run into problems with finding someone who inspects Lagoon Systems?

I am under contract for a property closing July 21st and no real estate inspectors or environmental surveyors can get out in time before closing to get me a report.

The lagoon was rebuilt in 2014, it is tested daily by the head of the city, and it is up to date on all permits and there are no violations. Do you think I am safe here? Do I even need a professional inspection done?

Couple thoughts here:

  1. Next time put in your contract that due diligence is extended if necessary reports are not in on time. You can’t control those.
    2)I am currently eliminating my lagoons with a larger wwtp and ultraviolet sanitizer. There is not much to a lagoon. It is a pond that sewage enters, separates and discharges. If it is being tested daily and passing all other tests…I personally would close on this deal.
