Is Florida a good or bad state to invest in, even with the hurricanes?

Florida is definitely a great state for mobile home parks. Many of the top parks in the U.S. are located there, as are many of the largest owner/operators. That being said, you have to know what you’re doing regarding the unusually tenant-friendly state laws and how to mitigate the risk of hurricanes through avoiding the highest risk areas and carrying the correct insurance. Because of the competition in Florida, it is harder to find good deals there probably than in other states, but we know people who have found them and like them in recent years. Remember that a mobile home park does not have to be in your backyard to work well, so you should probably expand your search beyond just the state of Florida.
