My parents own 5 parks. My brother and I are buying one of them. My parents made no effort to advertise, or get new tenants at all. The park is no where near full, but all the tenants that are there pay. All the bills are covered with the tenants that are there. We obviously are looking to get more homes in the park. I realize that this will not happen overnight due to the economy. Do you recommend offering some type of incentive to current tenants if they can send us new tenants? What type of incentives? When we officially take over should we have an open house to bring prospective tenants in to check us out?
