Eminent Domain of park property

The state Governor of Ohio may be signing a bill that will result in the addition of an interchange addition to route 71. This would cause the widening of the road in front of the park we purchased this year. The road is currently two lanes and could double in size. We also have gas lines in front of the park (right away) owned by Buckeye. I’m trying to see if any parks encountered this process and how it played out.

My humble advice. If they make you an offer for your land, it will be terrible. Get an attorney that specializes in Eminant Domain and hold out till you get a fair agreement. Seen it happen to someone in my family. 95% of people eventually capitulate. He held in there, got the right attorney, and got a nice and large fair check for the confiscation of his land.
