Demolish old homes vs getting them hauled away?

Let me throw this out for the experienced and good thinkers in this forum. I have 6 empty homes, which I have title to, in poor shape. Fixing them is not good option because cheap old homes in my Parks have been attracting low grade tenants. As New York State stiffens up laws against landlords getting these people out has been harder than getting rid of cockroaches. So I want these homes removed and install new homes that hopefully will sell. So here’s the options. I demolished one home as a trial run with my 11,000 lb excavator and loaded it into my 7x14 dump trailer pulled with my 1/2 ton pick up. It took 10 trips and 24 hours work. The tipping fees were $2,400. Fuel for the excavator was less than $30. , $100 gas for my 1/2 ton truck. The trips to the transfer station were 1.5 hours round trip. I’m not sure if buying a larger dump trailer and a truck large enough to pull it is a practical investment. The other alternative is to prep the trailers for hauling with wheels and tongues. I’ll need to buy a set of wheels 1,000, pay a local contractor $1,500 to strip them down, install the wheels and tongue. Then I have a hauler that will take it away for 5000 and they keep the wheels which is about 7500 total. Two of these homes I expect will test positive for asbestos. Those I’ll to have hauled away. That leaves four which if I demolish will take 60 plus hours of my time and cost $10,000, or $30,000 to a contractor and hauler and hardly any of my time. Doe anyone have any thoughts and/or better ideas of getting rid of old mobile homes. I should mention there are no haulers within 120 miles of me.

A single wide demolished will fit inside two 40 yard dumpsters excluding the metal frame and tires. I found a scrape dealer who came out and took the metal frame and tires for free.

A little outside the box, but we have had some luck working with local not-for-profit housing groups, like Family Promise which operates in 40-ish states. We basically donate the home, but they have to relocate it. They find a park with openings that will accept their tenants and refurb it to meet park standards. In our neighborhood, the chapter actually owns two parks and will put them there.

We also have a relationship with a hauler that we pay around $500 bucks to, and he sells them to people who want hunting cabins and such - we don’t ask questions, just pay him and off they go - not sure if someone would drive that far in your case

If neither of those work, then we’ve either demo’d ourselves into a couple haulaways,

In my locality I can only get 30 yard containers, so 3 of those,$1000 each, plus tipping fees which were $2700 on the test demo I did. That totals $5700 plus my time and wear and tear on my excavator. It would be Much faster than my dump trailer. Times 7 and it’s a nut.
