Wondering about a new tenant. Excellent credit history, solid work back ground but has a 1 misdemeanor for DUI - 5 years ago. Over 55 community. Thoughts?
You’d be surprised to find out how many people have a DUI on their record. This alone wouldn’t keep me from allowing them to live in my community.

Legally, there are 3 reasons for you to deny a tenant
- Management reasonably determines that, based upon the purchaser’s prior tenancies, they will not comply with the rules and regulations of the park.
- The purchaser does not have the financial ability to pay the rent, estimated utilities, and other charges of the park.
- The purchaser has committed fraud, deceit, or concealment of material facts during the application process.
A 5 year old DUI wouldn’t be an issue for me.
