Best roof coating material

I’ve been using Henry’s 587 ($90-100/5-gal) elastomeric roof coating for all our roofs for the last couple of years but don’t know how well they’ll hold up over time. Anyone else been using this product or have a different one to recommend?

I’ve been using Acrylic coatings. Some studies have indicated that properly formulated acrylic coatings can reduce the surface temperature as much as 20 degrees F when exposed to direct sunlight at 85 degrees F.

Gotcha. Yes the Henry’s 587 I mentioned is 100% acrylic. I had also read good things about acrylic and that it was basically the best thing other than the much more expensive silicone.

Henry’s is what we’ve always used, just due to it being in stock at Home Depot… Never had an issue
