Advice on how to comply with salary or hourly

Hello, I was hoping for some ideas on how others are paying their management. We have a couple small parks and our management was paid as independent contractor a set pay but after doing some research and reading the article here. We are rethinking this. We are going to switch to employees and I am wondering if I can pay them a salary every month. If not how are others switching to hourly. Keeping the manager happy paying them what they need but not over paying? If you pay hourly how do you keep track of time and prepare for the unknown situation where they would go into over time? Any thoughts or ideas would be nice to hear.

I think the norm is free space rent and $10 per rent collected. $10/hour for work done that is not normal park manager’s duties.
