Locating a good Park Manager

When buying and owning a park from a long distance, how and where do you start to find a good manager. If the manager in place is the previous owner or has not been a effective manager for the previous owner. I’ve thought about contacting the local rental management places but if they aren’t familiar with the MHP business that has failure written all over it. Any suggestions

Terry,

I would first evaluate how good the current manager or assistant manager is. I would also look within the MH park for a potential candidate. If you are still in need of any manager after exhausting the previous two, I would put the word out to everybody on the “street” and let them know you are looking for a manager and offer a referral bonus. Classified ads will also help.

I would stay away from property management companies as nobody will manage your property as well as you!
