Flood zone question?

I’d say the answer to that is “yes”. However, if flood coverage is required, and it most certainly would be in an “A” Flood zone (aka within a 100 year flood plain), you’d have to purchase a NFIP (fed gov’t) Insurance Policy on each home. The cost would be a minimum of $200/home just for the flood coverage. Wind, hail, fire, etc would likely cost you another 1.5% of the insured value of the home / year. Ex. $10,000 Rental Mobile home = Insurance cost of NFIP policy plys .0015 x $10,000, or $150 plus the NFIP policy (estimate $200), or minimum of $350/home/year.

Also, you will also likely want loss of income coverage that includes “flood” as a covered peril whether your park lender requires this coverage or not (they usually do, but not all know to ask for it). The additional cost for this policy will be a minimum of $15,000/year presuming you can buy it at all.
