What is a reasonable distance to live from your first MHP property? Would you recommend living close to my first one to get the hang of things, or is it doable to run my first property from a few hours away?
It’s doable from a long distance away… and easier if you live close to it. Mine was in Indiana and I live in CA - no problem. Have you been to the bootcamp?

My first park was about 700 miles from where I live. The advantage of it being farther away is that is forces you to develop processes and systems for remote management thus making your company more scalable. I fear that if the park was close to me that I would be so hands on that efforts to grow the company would be distracted by minutia. Second, there is comfort knowing that tenants are far away.
