Convert Single wide to Double wide Lot

Hi All,

  1. What is the procedure to convert Single wide to Double wide Lot? Not sure whether it is a good plan also? As the lots are small (around 50 foot), I am finding used double wide homes for less than 10K. New homes are costing around 25-30K.
  2. How much space should be left in the front and back of the Mobile Home legally or as per city?
    Please let me know

What did the city say when you asked them? They ultimately have jurisdiction and will advise lot sizes, setbacks, etc.

It’s quite likely they could make the process very burdensome to change, especially if this is a grandfathered property. You will have to weigh those benefits against keeping status quo. Keep us posted.
