This quarter my park had two water meters that are reported as running backwards. I figure there could only be two causes of this:-My manager has been screwing up reading them (definitely possible)-There is tampering going on.Has anyone had a tenant tamper with a water meter and manage to lower it?
The meter is probably installed backwards.
I would agree - meters are most likely installed backwards.Meters will often have an arrow identify which direction thewater should be flowing.
Yes, the tenants will swtich the wires. Some clever tenants do it to help their neighbors do it too. Seen it before.
most meters have numbers / dials on the top of the meter, and then wires attach to the ‘remote’ out front. We read both set of numbers to look for tampering quarterly and reconcile the differances.
