Hi all. I’m wondering about the best way for a newbie to go about making an offer on a US mobile home park that is listed with a real estate agent. Would I be well advised to get an agent of my own (one experienced in MHPs) to represent me? Or are there pitfalls with using an agent (i.e. an unwillingness to present lowball offers,. etc)? This would be my first park, and I live in Canada.
I am presently using a real estate agent up here in Ontario to make an offer on an Ontario MHP. I didn’t know how else to proceed, as this park is listed on the mls. Agents up here (including the one I’m with) generally have zero MHP experience. I also found some reluctance to submit a lowball offer.
