what do you do for your record keeping for tenants? Do you use a software system to track lease expirations, repairs, mantenance requests, info about the mh unit itself, complaints, correspondence etc.
also , park inspections, health department inspections and EPA paperwork?
I keep alot of this on paper…all the leases (not just the current) all correspondence, notices etc.
how much of this do you scan and save … how much to you save electronically and how long do you keep it on current or past tenants?
some of my tenants have been here 20 years and their files are getting fat
I have “dead tenant” files stored in bankers boxes and I recently had to fit in a new lateral file in my office
