Has anyone found a midwest builder that can make new mobile homes in a reasonable amount of time? I’m still experiencing 6 month delays to get a new home built.
That seems to be pretty typical lag times from several of the dealers I’ve spoken with in the past couple of weeks. The pandemic has created an insane backlog (and demand) for MHs and unfortunately also increased the commodity prices for the materials going into the homes. Shortest quote I’ve gotten recently is 5 months (full disclosure I am a very small bit player in this space, so I’m sure bigger operators with pre-existing relationships have some line-skipping VIP privileges).

was CavCo delayed that far? what ended up happening here? did you find one that shortened the lead time or did you just have to wait it out?
