Latest liability policy renewal up 15% from last year. Anyone else getting rate jumps? I have a Burn & Wilcox policy. Anyone have any suggestions for another carrier?
I just got a huge rate hike on my policy in South Texas. I’ve had this company for years and never made a claim. The insane part of it is… it covers almost nothing… no wind, no hail, no flood etc. So pretty much nothing that would be likely to happen to a park in Coastal South Texas! New quote this year… a little over $16,000!!! Small park… 47 lots and a commercial storefront. Unreal!
How much of that is for the commercial building versus the park?
They haven’t emailed the breakdown yet but that building isn’t covered for a lot because I currently use it as an office space. ($50,000? or so)
