Hi. For those with treatment plants, how much do you pay for insurance annually? Can you provide details on what it covers and the deductible?

In my experience the type of treatment plant or whether or not you even have one does not affect your liability policy. You should be sure however, that if you do have one it is correctly fenced and locked, along with all the appropriate warning signs. The problems will come not with the premium amounts but what happens if there is a claim. You do not want to be guilty of gross negligence. I am not an insurance agent or a lawyer, so best to clarify for sure with Kurt.
BJ, you may be technically correct. Verify with Kurt but I believe a standard policy will not cover pollution, in fact I’m pretty sure of it.
