Great news for Georgia park owners

According to a large retailer of homes that I talked to, the Georgia legislature has passed a bill that will eliminate all local and county ordinances statewide that restrict the age of homes that can be brought into those communities. The reason for this is lots of perfectly good affordable housing sits idle because it can’t be moved. Some counties wouldn’t issue a moving permit if the home was over 5 years old.

This is great news for park owners and future residents. The bill also includes an inspection by the state to make sure the home is in liveable condition which I think is a good idea. Hopefully the governer will sign it into law. Sensible government, we could use more of this.
