Certificate of Occupancy

We are evaluating a park in Texas, it’s outside the city limits and has several park owned homes. The seller is telling us they do not have and are unaware of their need for a certificate of occupancy. Is it possible we wouldn’t need one and who would we contact to verify?

Thanks,

Leighnae Fabian

Talk to your local County and ask them. Also call the Texas Manufactured Housing Association (http://www.texasmha.com).

Our parks do not need COs, but it varies with each County - just depends on how much the government wants to interfere with your life and tax you.
