I’ve been using a company to perform background checks for my parks, one in Illinois and one in North Carolina, but I’m recently having some issues with them. I’ve talked to a few applicants who have had some legal history that they were up front about, and because their stories and other references checked out well, I ran a background check on them. When I got the reports back, there was nothing on them that alerted me to the incidents that the applicants freely supplied. I know that some states don’t report, but some of these items should have been public knowledge, especially in the ones that do report (NC and IL). Does any one use a reporting service they trust, or have any other ideas?
