Accepting Credit Cards

Good Morning. I’m looking for feedback about accepting credit cards for rent and or other charges. Please let me know if your residents enjoy it enough to pay the convenience fees. Thank you.

Yes, you should do it. We don’t get a ton of transactions, but the ones we do get are important. Often, if a tenant is being evicted for non-payment, they’ll convince a family member to pay the bill using their credit card. If you can’t accept credit cards, the opportunity is lost forever and you are out the money you could have logged in.

We’ve added the easy/free PayPal plug-in to our websites. That is probably the easiest/quickest way to accept credit cards. But you can go ahead and pay the monthly fees if you wish for one of the credit card machines and thereby take credit cards from those without a PayPal account.

Onward, upward,
