Storm Water Sewer Charge

This flat charge tends to be 20%+ of entire w/s bill in a new park I just closed. Does anyone ever try to pass this through? Previous owner had been doing RUBS and usage in park isn’t overly high on a per home basis.

While I agree that meters are almost always the way to go, the math isn’t all that favorable here, especially when considering the storm sewer % of total bill. Any thoughts are welcomed.

RE: Storm Water Charge

Depending on the state, the pass through of Storm Water Charges to the individual resident is allowed (basically not dis-allowed by statue or regulation).
As always, fully disclose the charges on your rental agreement, be sure your calculations are accurate, and their is no profit motive when passing through utility charges.
