Receipts from customers and deposit

I deposit hundreds of checks a month. First, I apply them to the customers accounts in QuickBooks; and then I run them through the scanner depositing them in the bank. The bank scanner creates images of the checks and reports with account number, routing number, check number and amount. So, is there a way to scan the checks and capture the customer name, check number, and amount in a format that can be imported/uploaded into QuickBooks?
