The owners of the park I manage have aquired acreage adjacent to it. We are in the entitlement process, which is quite complex in California. There was a question of jurisdicton on set back requirements and whether they fall under CalFire or California State Housing & Community Development (HCD). It looks like we might have to go for an exemption with CalFire so we can use the HCD set back requirements, which aren’t as restrictive as CalFire’s. We have been trying to find out if there have been any new parks constructed in California since 2001 in SRA areas (those areas in which CalFire has fire protection responsibility). Does anyone know of any? Thanks for the help.
