Thinking of purchasing a MHP in Alabama and found out that there is a granite quarry coming up with in 10 mile radius from the park. Of course residents of the area are opposing it. What could be the potential impacts of quarry on a park, please let me know your thoughts.
Only thing I’d be worried about is if they will be using explosives. There should be some type of impact study available.

Exactly how far to the quarry to the park? Will they be driving by the park as one of the roads to and from park?
Main issues are noise, dust, and traffic. As someone who has gone through the permit process for a gravel mine I can tell you most of the reason people dont like quarys is a NIMBY (not in my back yard) kind of like siting a new mobile park. Not many real issues lots of perception issues.
Many of the hardworking quarry workers will need a place to live like your park.
10 miles is pretty far. Unless they are using nuclear warheads, I don’t see an issue.
