Can someone suggest some good escrow companies to send earnest money? or, Is it better to identify the closing lawyer now and keep the earnest money with him? Appreciate any help.

The owner usually picks the the title company who will do the closing. Title company will hold the escrow. For the most part most are trustworthy. If the owner doesn’t care then get on the phone and find one in the area. However, they do have fiduciary duties so I have personally never been involved in a situation where they don’t return your escrow after the owner has released it.
